Our story
We are Koko Japanese Eatery, the little sister of Ryuko. Our name means ‘child’ or ‘little tiger’ in Japanese, and we focus on creating joyful experiences through a culture of continuous discovery.At our Calgary food hall locations, we serve Japanese favourites including sushi, ramen, gyoza, and karaage skewers, alongside a laid-back atmosphere that reflects our convenience-store-inspired concept.

Thanh Nhi NguyenI came here on a cold winter day and had ramen with my best friend. It was amazing! It was a great price value for the size, and the flavours just hit the spot. I got the regular sized tonkotsu ramen with an extra egg, and my friend got the spicy tonkotsu ramen. Both were super good!The store layout and the logo is also very cute, and the atmosphere was very pleasing to eat in. I would definitely recommend it to any passerby!
Alice WooWe went to KOKO Japanese Eatery for teatime and ordered the Karaage (Chicken) Don and Salmon Yuzu Mayo Onigiri. The chicken rice bowl came with fried chicken, pickled onion, scallion, spicy mayo and sweet soy sauce on rice. The food tasted delicious and appetizing. The Gyu (Beef) Don and Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen looks good too and we are looking forward to try that next time.
JustinKOKO has overtaken Tokyo Street Market for me. The food is better for the price.The tonkotsu ramen had nice flavour but not the richness I'd expect from a broth that had been simmered for 48 hours. But the charsiu had very nice smoky flavour.The gyu don was extremely dry. Recommend the BBQ sauce add on.

alice lamSuper cute Asian convenience store take out spot with Japanese onigiri, salmon donburi, ramen, and snacks! The rice balls were really fresh - I love when the rice is perfectly cooked. Really love the variety of filling flavours. Egg salad sandwich is just like the ones from Japanese 711

The sushi was delicious especially the spicy California Roll, I really liked the teriyaki Chicken and the Korrokke was to die for.

Everything feels like it was plucked straight from Tokyo - from the perfectly wrapped fruit sandwiches to the endless shelves of Asian snacks.

The mentaiko mayo onigiri tastes like the ones from 7-Eleven in Japan. Gochujang beef is the other standout.
