The food is genuinely good, everything is full of flavour and feels thoughtful, especially when you try a few cicchetti and share everything at the table. The atmosphere is warm and elegant, but still really cool and easygoing at the same time.

Had such a great experience at L’Olivo during the YYC EXP Food & Drink Experience! Every dish on the set menu was absolutely delicious, but what really stood out was the fantastic customer service. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the entire meal.

Our server was absolutely impeccable. He walked us through the menu in detail, and his timing was perfect. The service was wonderful, and the food was unbelievably delicious! The portions are modest for each dish, so you can order a variety. I really love this kind of restaurant with small portions – it makes the dining experience completely stress-free.

Food was creative and tasty - Italian "tapas" is genius for people with a fear of commitment. Got to try so many delicious dishes. Server was attentive, friendly and an absolutely lovely human. We had a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend - especially for the price point. Unbeatable in YYC!

Our first experience at L’Olivo will want us to return. Our server, Taylor, was very helpful in explaining the niceties of Cicchetti dining: Little bits of taste. She had great patience while we made our drink and food decisions. Also, we met Joe, the owner and we felt his passion for the restaurant and really looked forward to our foods.

Our search for Venetian food brought us to this place right inside or beside Lina's at Inglewood. From the entrance, we could see that the owners put a lot of thought to elevate the dining experience. The owner told us the story of the restaurant, and how they try to stay true to the Venetian experience but also tweaked them to suit the Calgary scene.

You won’t be disappointed with this new gem. Italian cuisine of this caliber rarely makes it to North America. The flavors are rich and multi layered with the cicchetti ( shareable appetizers) and pasta dishes each being a visual and unique flavor filled dish. We had a near riot with the desserts … so good! Andrea, our server provided perfect timing and friendly banter.

This is apparently the first Italian Cichetti restaurant in Calgary and has only recently opened. Very cozy location and food almost like in bella Italia. We were served by Anthony, who was the kindest waiter of our entire Canada tour. We tried 3 different types of pasta and smoked duck breast and vitello tonnato, everything tasted great, especially the vitello tonnato.
