Masa Mama has quickly become one of those Calgary spots that never disappoints. I’ve been multiple times now and every experience has been consistently great from the food to the service to the atmosphere.The space itself is absolutely beautiful. The layout feels incredibly thoughtful and well designed without feeling overdone. It has this perfect balance of being trendy and elevated while still feeling relaxed and welcoming.The food is always solid, the cocktails are great, and the service has consistently been attentive and friendly every time I’ve gone. You can tell a lot of care went into creating the overall experience here, not just the menu.Definitely one of my favourite spots in the city right now and a place I keep recommending to people over and over again.

The attention to detail in every aspect, from the food to the décor, makes Masa Mama a must visit for anyone seeking an authentic yet elevated Mexican dining experience!!!

10/10 across the board. The food, the service, and the vibe are all absolutely top tier. It’s quiet, cute, and has such a romantic atmosphere — perfect for date night.We first tried their birria taco at a Christmas pop-up and it was hands down the best we’ve ever had, so we knew we had to visit the restaurant. It did not disappoint. The queso fundido was incredible (and I love that it comes with warm tortillas instead of chips — such a nice touch). The Korean fish taco was unreal and will be a must-order for us every single time. The pork belly chicharrón taco was fantastic as well — especially if you’re a true pork belly fan.

If you haven’t tried Masa Mama Tacos in Calgary yet, you’re seriously missing out! From the moment you walk in, the vibrant and welcoming vibe sets the tone for an amazing dining experience. The tacos are absolutely next-level! each one is packed with flavor, and the ingredients taste super fresh.The Mac-mama taco is a must-try along with the chilli coconut margarita I also love their homemade salsas!!The service is friendly and quick, Andrew the owner, you can tell that him and the staff genuinely care about making sure you have a great meal. It’s the perfect spot for both a quick bite or a casual hangout with friends.Highly recommend Masa Mama if you’re a fan of authentic, delicious tacos! Can’t wait to come back! 🤩

First time here and we had no idea what to expect. It was a good experience. We absolutely love Mexican/Latino food and were glad that the server stressed that they take a "modern approach" that is not leaning too far into the Mexican realm as we would have been very disappointed otherwise. We first shared the guac and chips, a couple of salsas and the Quesabirria tacos. The guac was probably the biggest disappointment. It was smashed up avocado, as one would expect, but then it had half chunks of cherry tomatoes, which made it awkward to eat, and a bunch of sesame seeds in it (which I guess is in a salsa that they mix into it) which made it taste like a confused dish. Am I Mexican? Am I Asian? I don't know...please eat me. And it was served with store bought blue corn chips which was also

The Mac-mama taco is a must-try along with the chilli coconut margarita I also love their homemade salsas!!

Our server Zoe was friendly and efficient. Every dish she suggested was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Ordered the elote, guacamole, salsa sampler and the ceviche to start. Everything was delicious but the jalapeño salsa was especially amazing! Tried the shrimp, Korean and baja fish tacos and they were great! Light, flavourful, delicious food in a lovely space with excellent service. Will definitely be back!

We went on Valentine’s Day, so it was very busy. Regardless, the staff was great and the tacos were so good. Highly recommend the baja fish and Korean taco! The cocktails are also fantastic.

So delicious! We had the Quesabirrria - yum; rich and beefy. We also had the Ribeye Fajita - really good and fresh - the tortillas are so good. The Korean Fish Taco was yummy. Others had the Gringa, and they said it was delicious.

The menu and our selections did not disappoint! We really enjoyed the tuna starter along with the best calamari we’ve had in YYC! Each bite was a delight and presentation was outstanding. Don’t miss out on trying their Korean Fish Tacos and Tortillas Birria.
