Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were so warm and welcoming.From the very first dish to the fun little performances in between, everything was spot on.The draft beer was perfectly taken care of it’s been such a long time since I’ve had one that good, and it made me genuinely happy.It turned into such a happy and memorable evening.Sally, who took care of our table, was simply amazing!! I’ll definitely be coming back next time!

This was our second time at Bul. The first time we went was right after they opened and the food was great even then, but this time it was another level.We went at dinner time Wednesday and didn't have a reservation, which is not smart as it's a very small and cozy environment. The tables were fully booked but they had room at the bar, which was awesome as we were able to watch and interact with the Chef and cooks. Everyone was super friendly, professional and engaging, including the servers. They first brought us a small bowl of what appeared to be a creamy, flavourful congee to open our tastebuds. I found out about this restaurant through social media and Im glad we tried it! We ordered the specials in their menu and it was all delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming, casual and elegant, the food service starts off with a complimentary rice porridge, wait time for the food was within 15 minutes. We ordered (ranking 1-5): 1) Wagyu Tartar 2) Angus AAA Katsu 3) Sweet Chili Shrimp Dimsum 4)Beef Bulgogi 5) Mala Eggplant TempuraAlso ordered a grape drink which was very refreshing! I would definitely come back here again, food is delicious, price is reasonable for the quality and great costumer service.

This is a very interesting restaurant. Some authentic dishes and quite eclectic. They do a Sukiyaki, which is not common in Canada. It is smaller that you would generally see (normally a Sukiyaki is for more than one), but it is quite well done. The food is well presented and good. It is not traditional Japanese sushi, but still good. The Bibimnbap is very good. It would benefit from a hot stone bowl, but still very good. All round this is a very good place to experience good food and service.

The wagyu tartare definitely lived up to the hype, loved the contrast from the crispy seaweed and how well-balanced the seasoning was. That was easily the highlight of the meal. We also tried the sweet chili shrimp dim sum, which was just okay for us. The cherry oak smoke wasn’t really our thing, and the sauce leaned a bit too sweet. Our last dish was the Angus AAA katsu, which was tasty and well-executed, but it didn’t quite stand out compared to the tartare.That said, the pricing feels reasonable for a fine-dining concept, portions are generous, and the dishes were surprisingly filling. There are still quite a few items on the menu we’d want to come back and try, so definitely worth another visit. Overall it was a solid experience.

We had the tasting menu that you need to book two days in advance (by phone). It was an amazing experience. You get a wide range of delicious foods some on the menu, some uniquely with this special chef’s choice menu. Make sure you’re hungry as the portions are generous!

The vibe here is fantastic. It has a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere that sets the perfect mood for a great night out. Every dish we ordered was incredibly delicious, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. What really made the night stand out was the staff.

The food was absolutely delicious, the presentation and the total package when it was placed on the table was immaculate and the amount of food you got for the cost was fantastic.
