Chef David Leeder helped shape DOPO’s menu after returning to Calgary from New York City, where he worked at Thomas Keller’s Per Se. His cooking combines traditional Italian foundations with modern techniques and a focus on Southern Italian flavours.

A kind of thing that they do a lot is essentially teaching us Italian cuisine and culture through small notes, visuals on the walls, and explaining the dishes.

Been here a couple of times, always a good experience. Food tastes great, fast service. My husband and I sat at the bar the last time we dined here and had a few chats with our bartender/server, Christian. Friendly staff! Will be back.

The food was phenomenal, our whole table went silent because everything was just so good. Highly recommend trying the grilled bread and whipped ricotta. And make sure to leave room for dessert, the tiramisu will not disappoint.
