I’m not someone who gives 5 stars easily, but this restaurant truly deserves it. The food is amazing and the staff is friendly. It’s a small, simple place — don’t expect luxury — but that’s exactly what makes it special. The portions are generous, and the prices are great.

If you’re looking for authentic Korean street food in Calgary, look no further than this cozy little gem tucked away in Chinatown. It’s a family-run spot, basic in setup, but that’s exactly what you want from a street food place, and the warmth of the owners more than makes up for any lack of frills.

Absolutely love here! It was totally Korean restaurant! The kimbabs was good, tteokbokki was cool ( I didn't expect much but it was good), and jjolmeyon!!!쫄면 I don't like cucumber. So I ordered without cucumber. I would love to say plz remove cucumber in jjolmeyon😏😏😏 and there were veggies!! I luv this! I will totally come back!

Tasty food, friendly staff, excellent location in Chinatown. I was in Chinatown around lunch and needed a bite. There is a chicken place next door, but the menu looked a little pricey so I checked out Ssoyummy instead. The prices seemed more reasonable, and so I ordered something I had never had, kimbap. The server brought a jug of water, and the meal came with a small bowl of fish cake soup.

I heard good things about the food at Sso Yummy in Chinatown, so I selflessly forwent my banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) for his kimbap. The kimbap is delicious. The spam and crab added a savoury saltiness to each bite. The rice, fluffy egg omelette and tofu were soft and so tasty.

If I want to impress, I take my guests to sso yummy. affordable, authentic, and amazing food from a lovely mom & pop shop on the edge of chinatown. their tteokbokki is perfectly cooked rice cakes in a sweet and spicy gochujang sauce. all their kimbaps are comforting and filling, with tuna/original/spam being my favourite ones.

We ordered the Spicy Pork Rice Bowl for only $11.99, which definitely gives your tastebuds a bit of a kick, its Dumpling Ramyeon (Korean instant noodles with eggs, dumplings and vegetables) for $8.49, and the Original, Beef, and Tuna Kimbap (a dish made from rice, veggies, meat, and rolled in seaweed), priced between $6 and $8.99.
