My boyfriend and I visited this place two days ago, and the food was absolutely amazing. I honestly can't remember the last time I had such a delicious shakshuka! My boyfriend was also very impressed with the Turkish coffee and the avocado toast.The atmosphere was fantastic as well. The artwork on the walls was absolutely stunning and gave the place a unique character. On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.If we ever find ourselves in Vancouver again, we'll definitely come back for breakfast. Highly recommended!

No resos but the line wasn't bad! Keep in mind they won't seat you until your entire party is present.The space inside is small but cozy. I loved the art and decor style! The food was also unique and delicious. I had the omelette and it was soooo soft. My friends had the avocado toast and the sausage skillet and they both enjoyed their meals as well.There is no ketchup on the table so if you would like some, then you need to ask!

What a special place! 😀 Covered with artwork and cozy nooks for seating, Cafe Portrait really has a vibe. The Middle Eastern breakfasts are phenomenal. Everything is gluten-free if you want it to be. They have a great selection of loose leaf tea served in pots with an elegant place setting. The music is jazzy and perfect. There is a 1-hour limit at the tables and for good reason because this place is very popular and quite petite. The Wi-Fi was 300 / 150 but you wouldn't want to pull out a computer here unless it was very early in the morning and not crowded. The owner has done everything right.

The food was excellent—I had the Salmon Benedict 😋, which was absolutely delicious. It came with perfectly paired potato wedges and fresh fruit on the side. The Sujuk Eggs were also very fresh and served sizzling.That said, the tables aren’t very spacious, and the walls are quite heavily decorated with paintings. While the artwork is beautiful, it can feel a bit overstimulating while dining.

I chose this brunch café to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be the perfect choice.The food was fresh and delicious, with the avocado being especially impressive.The cappuccino tasted just like the ones I enjoyed in Europe, though the caffeine was a bit strong, so that’s something to keep in mind.The atmosphere made me feel as if I had traveled to Turkey, giving the place an exotic charm that really matched my style.It was a truly happy time, and the servers were incredibly friendly.I would definitely recommend this café to anyone looking for a special brunch experience.

Early one morning myself and my wife popped in for breakfast. So good we got another latte to go. Their menu is diverse, but we shared the shukshaka which was fantastic. Friendly staff, a couple dog friendly tables outside. Big fan of this place.

We have nothing but great things to say about Cafe Portrait, staff were nothing but warm and hospitable, and the food and coffees were excellent.

The service and the food there made me overlook those aspects because the service was excellent, the servers were friendly and nice, the food came pretty fast, and I had tiramisu and hot chocolate and both of them were great.
