I’ve been staying at the Hyatt whenever I’m in town for work for years now. I’ve come into the Thomsons Kitchen for breakfast and dinner many times and have generally enjoyed my meals. The staff are friendly and I’ve never had to wait for a table - I dine solo so your experience may vary. They bring the food and coffee quickly, hot and fresh. This means so much to me when I’m getting food before heading to the office in the morning.Staring with breakfast. Their brunch is outstanding. Their pancakes and French toast are out of this world. The pancakes are fluffy and flavourful with banana and walnut. The French toast is rich and creamy. We came here for their 2025 Christmas Day buffet dinner. Really great decorations and the atmosphere was perfect. The place was very busy, but the service was still quick and friendly. There was a huge variety of food. The star standouts would be their prime rib, turkey, and ham at their carving stations. The turkey and ham were good, but the prime rib missed the mark. The first prime rib that they carved was perfect, but once that ran out and they brought out the second one, it was very stringy and tough compared to the first, so some consistency issues there. Additionally it took them a bit of time to get the second one ready, in addition to replacing the gravy station, which resulted in a massive line up. Our server, Ringo, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.A special thank you to Taville, the bartender, who is truly phenomenal. The drinks he prepared were absolutely amazing, perfectly made, and added so much to our evening. This was our first visit to Thomsons and I would highly recommend it if you are staying at the adjacent hotel. We appreciated not having to leave the hotel for supper after a long day of driving. The food was very tasty, the server was friendly, and it was pretty quiet. We ordered the steak bites for an appetizer, and although they were very good, the portion size was quite small. Suitable for 2 people. Then we ordered the Bison Short Ribs, the Brisket Poutine, and Caesar Salads with Grilled Chicken. All our food was delicious and the portion sizes were more than suffice. Overall, a pretty good dining experience.

Thompson's kitchen & bar. I have had buffet brunches around Calgary a lot. There is some very good ones out there and this one is by far one of the top 10. IT IS my favorite brunch buffet in Calgary now. They have live music very relaxing. All the food was fresh and delicious, and let me tell you about all the choices. So many delicious choices. All the desserts we're so well done and not overly sweet. And don't forget to top off your meal with a nice Caesar. You definitely won't regret going here for brunch.

Absolute Hidden Gem of a restaurant. Their Sunday Brunch Buffet is a must! Totally a 5 star experience. It is on par with Vegas buffets like Wicked Spoon and the Wynn buffet in terms of taste and quality! Everything tasted amazing! They even had a raclette station!
