Con Giannoulis immigrated to Canada from Greece at age 17 and began in the restaurant business at the bottom, later rising to executive chef and eventually owning his own restaurants. He co-founded Caesar’s Steak House in 1972 and has long championed Alberta beef, working with the restaurant’s supplier since his earlier days as an executive chef at another steakhouse in the late 1960s.
