We visited the lobby bar for a quick lunch, and it was an outstanding experience. Everything we ordered—from the pasta and steak to the flavorful soup of the day—was delicious. To top it off, the meal ended with an amazingly dark chocolate mousse cake that we absolutely loved!

Guuuurl, when I say, this was the best birthday dinner ever, I mean it! Caitlynd was our sever on May 4, 2026 and they were an absolute gem! They helped my boyfriend and I decide on what to get based on what we value in dishes and based on our dietary choices.

We showed up with the wrong reservation, but the team handled it graciously and made sure we were accommodated. That kind of hospitality instantly set a positive tone for the evening.

I’ve been to Hawthorn Dining Room & Bar several times now for both lunch and dinner and it has been consistently good every visit. The space itself is absolutely beautiful. Very polished and upscale without feeling overly formal.

Tucked inside Fairmont Palliser is the Hawthorn Dining Room. It gives major old-world glamour meets modern date night energy. Hawthorn is known for elevated prairie-inspired dishes, handcrafted cocktails, and making an ordinary dinner feel like an occasion.
