We visited the lobby bar for a quick lunch, and it was an outstanding experience. Everything we ordered—from the pasta and steak to the flavorful soup of the day—was delicious. To top it off, the meal ended with an amazingly dark chocolate mousse cake that we absolutely loved!The cocktails were excellent as well. I highly recommend the 'Squeeze The Day, Teddy'; it was incredibly refreshing and a must-try for orange lovers. We had a wonderful time!

Guuuurl, when I say, this was the best birthday dinner ever, I mean it! Caitlynd was our sever on May 4, 2026 and they were an absolute gem! They helped my boyfriend and I decide on what to get based on what we value in dishes and based on our dietary choices. I know good service when I see it and Caitlynd really had it in them! Great work to them! I was celebrating my 25th birthday and not only did the service eat down but so did my boyfriend and I. My favourite dish was the Carrot Sachetti. Who ever invented and prepared the dish, you could tell that they love their craft! It was a new dish to me and the flavours, presentation and textures were absolutely divine! Last thing I would like to mention is that Caitlynd definitely deserves a raise!

We showed up with the wrong reservation, but the team handled it graciously and made sure we were accommodated. That kind of hospitality instantly set a positive tone for the evening.Our server, Bobbie M, greeted us warmly and was wonderfully attentive throughout our meal. She gave a great explanation of the Passionfruit Daiquiri and even followed up to see how we liked it a thoughtful touch we really appreciated. The daiquiri itself was bright, smooth, and refreshing.For food, everything impressed us. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful a solid 8/10. The mushrooms and arugula gnocchi were truly outstanding soft, earthy, and full of depth. That one’s a 10/10! The Hawthorn Burger was hearty and juicy, another reliable 8.And dessert? Absolute perfection. The crepe cake was to die for

I’ve been to Hawthorn Dining Room & Bar several times now for both lunch and dinner and it has been consistently good every visit. The space itself is absolutely beautiful. Very polished and upscale without feeling overly formal. It has one of those interiors that immediately makes the experience feel elevated the second you walk in.The food has always been well executed, the drinks are great, and the menu has enough variety that it works just as well for a casual lunch meeting as it does for a nicer dinner out. Service has also been consistently attentive and professional every time I’ve gone.Definitely one of those reliable Calgary spots that feels refined, comfortable, and worth coming back to.
