This was my second time at South Block Barbecue & Brewing, and I’d definitely come back again. The BBQ turkey and brisket were both delicious, tender, and full of flavor. The food was solid overall, and the atmosphere is one of the things I enjoy most about this place.We sat out on the patio, which was perfect on a nice day, and I love that they’re dog friendly. It’s always a bonus being able to bring your furry friend along while enjoying good food and drinks.If you’re looking for a relaxed spot with tasty BBQ, a great patio, and a welcoming atmosphere for both people and dogs, South Block is worth checking out.

Any of the Blocks in Calgary have my heart - few things beat delicious BBQ! The patio vibe is better at South Block compared to Hayden Block. Three of us shared the brisket, pork belly, deep fried pickles, beans and broccoli salad with individual corn breads. Service was great and the food was delicious. Can’t wait to come back.

Came to dine February 15th 2026, for the first time.Absolutely delicious! My partner and I ordered the brisket.. so tender and juicy! Was on the more room temperature side but still really good. My partner ordered the dill pickle potato salad, said it was really good and great portion size, I had the spicy fries and it they a nice crispy and lots of flavour. We also decided to try the fried pickles, probably the best I’ve had in a really long time, stayed crispy (didn’t get soggy) and flavourful! I also ordered the Son of a peach and my partner had the apple cider and Both drinks were fantastic!! Our server was super friendly and on the ball she did amazing! So thank you Rachel for the amazing job! Also shout out to the cooks! Amazing!Highly recommend this place! Food and service 10/10

I don't always write five star reviews but when I do, it's only after eating an entire beef short rib platter after starving all day from an inner city move.Yes, moving is awful and moving to Mission was painful but thankfully we found this place just down the road. The lagers were great, and the food was incredible. I give kudos to Canadian food chains but this place offers great protein options without the massive carb overload. I can't recommend this place enough. The photos speak for themselves.

Waitress was so helpful with beer and food recommendations. I enjoyed the cherry sour beer- it was refreshing and the food was great. Really enjoyed the pork belly - but the corn was awesome too. Got a mixed tray and to be honest everything was on point. Service was fantastic.
