Mauro Martina is the founder and chef behind OEB Breakfast Co. Born in Italy, he grew up around local markets and fresh ingredients, building a culinary foundation in Europe before moving to Canada in 1992. He began his career as an executive chef at 21 and later launched OEB in 2009 with a focus on bold recipes, honest ingredients, and genuine hospitality.

A modern, vibrant space with thoughtful design and a clear passion for detail. Parking was relatively easy, and from the moment you walk in, there’s a sense that this place cares about presentation and experience. It’s colorful, welcoming, and a great spot for a date or gathering with family and friends.

I’m really shocked to see any negative reviews of this place. We come here quite frequently (at least 1-2x/month) and on weekends when it’s really busy, we put ourselves on the waiting list and by the time we walk there it’s always just a short wait or our table is ready. We went yesterday and as it was late morning on a weekday there was no wait at all. The friendly hostess seated us immediately and our lovely server Anne brought waters almost immediately.

I've tried MANY things on the menu and at this point I generally default to my all-time favorite, which is the perogies and duck. It is super rich but oh so delicious.

Hubs usually gets the lobster/shrimp crepe which he LOVES, but decided to switch it up this time and got the El Camino poutine.
