About
Michael Batas started working in restaurant and hotel kitchens as a young teenager in Cyprus before continuing in restaurants and nightclubs in Australia. He settled in Calgary and used that experience to open Michael’s Restaurant in May 1981. The restaurant later passed to his son John, who runs the operation with his mother Helen.

This pizza was absolutely outstanding. A more deep dish pizza Vibe with lots of cheese. Lots of toppings. They definitely weren't short on the toppings. The Greek salad had a wonderful feta cheese on top. Everything was absolutely perfect. Our server was wonderful. We sat upstairs and the indoor restaurant. Definitely will be returning

The best special pizza order ever! Suggestion- spinach feta and shrimp! Well done! I squeeze lemon on top!!! My favourite treat the sauce and crust is amazing! Thank you for customizing my favourite flavours!!

I can honestly say Michael’s Pizza was one of my absolute favorite places to eat when I lived downtown Calgary on 10th Ave. I used to order from there all the time, and years later, now living in Kelowna, I still catch myself thinking about their pizza and spaghetti regularly. There was just something special about it that no other place has been able to match for me.
