My wife and I stayed at the downtown Marriott hotel in Calgary and we had breakfast the next day at One 18 Empire and it blew my mind.I love eggs Benedict, as I always make my own at home and it is always a treat to order out at a restaurant. But, One 18 Empires salmon gravlax Benedict was easily the best eggs Benedict I have ever eaten.The luscious, sashimi-like salmon, crispy kale and capers, brown butter hollandaise sauce and the bagel that it sat upon was perfection. Crispy smashed potatoes on the side and prompt, friendly service in a comfortable restaurant is all I could have hoped for.

Very elaborate old fashioned with a wood barrel they burn right in front of you for various flavors. You can even make your own choices on flavoring wood smoke and finish. Great food too. Atmosphere is very hotel bar ish and good for watching games.

ONE18 has become one of my favourite spots in Calgary in the last few months. As an avid bourbon lover, I am extremely impressed with their selection. You can choose an old fashioned that’s been beautifully crafted by the talented bartenders, or you can create your own. They smoke the glass right in front of you which adds to the luxury of your dining experience! The food never misses. My two favourite things would be the steak, which is always perfectly cooked, or the charcuterie board, which has such a lovely assortment of meats and cheeses! I’ve been here many times and have never had a bad experience.Huge shoutout to Pavlo and Sam; they are AMAZING. So friendly, so attentive, and they genuinely make you feel welcomed and taken care of. Was at great experience. We stayed at the Marriott hotel and received drinks tickets for our anniversary to One18 EMPIRE.Danielle (?) was our waitress and she was great to deal with.Drinks were fantastic.They seated us in a little nook in the corner and it was very intimate for our date night.

This place is close to my heart from living in Calgary — spent many meals here! I have raved about the Old Fashion drinks to many people far and wide. So, being back in Calgary, I had to see if they were still as amazing. Although they’ve done away with the “choice wheel” (IYKYK), the menu still has the option of creating your own drink combination. I think the price has gone up substantially, but it was still delicious and still cool to have it made at the side of the table on top of the barrel. The only issue was that the waitress didn’t seem to know the glass needs to sit over the smoke for a few seconds. And my friend was a bit worried her hair was going to get singed. 😂. Anyway, it tasted great!

The food was amazing. Easily the best lamb I have ever had. The smoked old fashioned drinks were outside my usual choice for drinks but very easy to enjoy. And it was fun to have the glasses smoked at our table.

our party of 6 came here for a night cap and so glad we did. Our waitress Daniellis was so awesome making our various smoked old fashions! She was extremely friendly, educated us on what drinks were delicious, and she made us the most amazing old fashions! We highly recommend this bar for Old Fashions made in a unique way

Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Service was very quick and courteous. Staff were able to expand on options available, and make recommendations. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. It was busy (as I was there on Valentines Day) but still managed to find seating easily.

The service here is absolutely amazing. It really did raise the ambiance of the environment. My steak was gorgeous and cooked perfectly. My tuna was very fresh and presented nicely.
