Our story
Chilitos Taberna is a lively Mexican taberna in Calgary, established in 2009 and located on 17th Avenue SW. We serve Mexican street food, a large selection of tequilas and mezcals, and cocktails and margaritas in a setting designed for a casual, upbeat dining experience.We offer dine-in, takeout, catering, reservations for larger groups and private parties, weekend brunch, and happy hour. Guests can also enjoy a sunny two-level split patio and a friendly atmosphere for dates, family outings, birthday parties, and business gatherings.

Georgina ClarkBy far! Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the whole of Calgary! Came here with my family and was floored by how authentic and delicious the food was. The best margaritas I’ve ever had! The salad portion was massive. The servers were amazing! Will for sure be coming back.
Jill KThe food was amazing, very flavorful! Got a guava margarita which was was declious. Got the Birria enchiladas which tasted amazing, came with rice and beans- huge serving. The restaurant is a smaller place but had good atmosphere. The service was a bit slow but after we sat down quite a few other tables filled the restaurant and they didn’t have many people working. I would definitely still recommend to go and try the food!
Mike HFood is fresh and delicious. I recommend the burrito or carnitas tacos. The carnitas is perfectly seasoned and finished with a crunch.The beans are bland and little flavor. But don't let that stop you, this place is so good and fun atmosphere.
MloWe sat on the patio away from the street which was great. The server and food were great as this was my first time tryout. Definitely will come again. The background music was little bit loud at the end.
