Had a quick lunch at Hydra in downtown Vancouver (located inside the beautiful Exchange Hotel) and it ended up being such a great experience. We weren’t too hungry, so we ordered a few share plates to try and everything was absolutely delicious!! We had the Tomato Salad with the massive feta wedge, the Tarama dip with warm pita and the Hydra Special with crispy zucchini and eggplant over tzatziki. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, beautifully plated and perfect for sharing.The restaurant itself is stunning inside. Service was excellent as well: attentive, welcoming and professional throughout.Definitely a spot worth visiting whether for a quick lunch, drinks or a nice dinner downtown.

Came for a girlfriend’s birthday and I really liked it! Our server was exceptionally kind and attentive. The green salad was absolutely amazing and one of the best salads I’ve ever gotten, the drink I got was lovely and worth the expensive price tag. Pretty spot for pictures too!

We ordered the roasted chicken with veggies and the portion is quite generous for two people. The texture of chicken is quite soft and mushy - very different from organic free range chicken. Good service. We went for lunch and they are quite busy and noisy to allow conversations across the table.

I often visit because they have happy hour on weekends, and the atmosphere is great with delicious food. This time, the oysters were smaller than usual, but the server let us know in advance. Even though they were small, they were still very tasty. The second floor also has a really nice ambiance.

The atmosphere is fantastic—high ceilings and an open, airy vibe. Everything we ordered was delicious. The steak was incredibly tender and better than most steakhouses. The fried zucchini and eggplant were perfectly crispy, and the pita plate with smoked salmon and masago dips was a refreshing change from the usual. Everything hit the spot. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Roger gave us amazing service. The food was delicious and the happy hour was great as well.
