Our story
We believe everyone deserves the feeling of a getaway, so we brought that relaxation to Calgary. Vaycay Brew Co. was built by co-owners Andrew Gass, Brad Fehr, and Brad Van De Walle—a chef and two beer obsessives who wanted food to share the spotlight with the beer. After partnering on Veranda in Currie, our team relocated to create our own taproom alongside executive chef Andrew Lowery and general manager Shanon De Ocampo.Our tropical craft brewery and taproom is an everyday destination to unplug, with globally inspired beers, handcrafted cocktails, and fresh elevated dishes made from scratch. From tacos and wood-fired pizzas to oysters and globetrotting shareables, we invite guests to pull up a chair and taste the getaway in every sip.
Meet the chef
Chef Andrew Lowery is the executive chef at Vaycay Brew Pub, where he leads a chef-driven kitchen focused on globally inspired plates, tacos, pizzas, fresh-shucked oysters, and shareable dishes. He previously partnered with the Vaycay team at Veranda in Calgary's Currie neighbourhood.

Taylor WhyteCame here with my mum tonight and it was great! Our server was Keely and she was awesome. The food, drinks and atmosphere were all amazing. We got the One Night in Bangkok pizza which was delicious, and we finished the whole thing despite being full after a few pieces. We tried a few drinks each and all were amazing. Would highly recommend and so happy to have such a great new place! Also so excited for the dog friendly patio to open!

Chantal was an awesome server and we really enjoyed our Father's Day lunch with friends at this location. Food was served hot and quickly, considering how busy it was. The mushroom pizza was divine!

Vaycay Brewery at Currie Barracks in Calgary offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with an easygoing and friendly welcome. The open-plan layout provides views of the brewery, enhancing the experience. The pizza, especially the Queen Bee, is a must-try and highly recommended. With daily features, TVs, and good music, there's never a dull moment.
