This restaurant has been on my to try list for a while and I seriously regret waiting this long to visit! The aesthetic and overall vibe are a 10/10 — easily tops my list for one of the coolest spots in the city.As someone with celiac disease, I really appreciated how accommodating the menu was for gluten free dining. Both the hostess and our server were incredibly knowledgeable about ingredients and preparation. They also have a dedicated gluten free fryer!We ordered the fried chicken as a starter and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had! Moist and packed with flavour! I haven’t stopped thinking about it since!!! For mains, we had the lamb dish (again, tender, fall off the bone) and the shahi paneer, which was rich and full of flavour. We tried their tasting menu at C$55 per head and it was delightful, sharing the various options between us. We each had our own favourites, all were delicious, interesting and genuine. Interior decorated well, service excellent. Quite a lot of background noise but didn’t distract overall.

I ordered prawn thali and aloo chaat!The aloo chaat was good and flavourful. The taste of the thali was also good. The food is not exceptionally mindblowing but nice. Being a bengali,I have a problem with the Mishti doi they served. It was more like a rich creamy buttery texture.Not mishti doi at all. The atmosphere is very nice. The decor,the server everyone was welcoming.

We went for a business lunch and were a little surprised to see such a small selection of options on the menu. We even asked to see the dinner menu to see if it was different, it wasn't just more expensive. The food was good but not super warm, however the Nan bread was really good. This would be a good indian restaurant for newbies the the world of indian food, as the only real curry was a butter chicken, but no lamb or beef Madras etc. We also tried the chips with curry sauce.....not great. Our server was very friendly and did a great job. Unfortunately due to the lack of menu options I would not bother to go back as there are some amazing authentic Indian restaurants here in Calgary.

I can confidently say this is the best restaurant I have been to. The experience here is curated perfectly. The lighting and interior design were beautiful. Comfortable seating. Music was great. Incredibly clean. Every server we interacted with was so kind. Tonight we were served by Hugo. He provided wonderful recommendations and was so accommodating. He did a fantastic job. The timing of our dishes made the experience even better. The food was amazing!!! Our table had the taste of calcutta. It was a great opportunity to try multiple dishes as this was our first visit here. We will certainly be back (many times)!
