This restaurant has a nice ambiance and beautifully decorated with Nepalese traditional decors. We ordered the Sherpa Dal-Bhat Set (Traditional Nepali Meal). This delicious Himalayan meal was served with Black Lentils, Rice, Sauce, Potatoes, Fresh Mustard Green, Naan and we added the Lamb Curry. We also tried the popular Nepalese Momo (Dumplings).

Sherpa on 17th Ave is hands down one of the best wing nights we’ve experienced in Calgary! We went specifically for their wing special which is 49¢ wings (dine-in) after 4pm every Friday, Monday, and Wednesday, and it absolutely delivered!

Arjun himself was very cheerful and welcoming, which added to the overall positive vibe of the place. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with people enjoying games of pool and a nice bar setup, making it a great spot to hang out with friends.

Exceptional Nepalese restaurant with great food atmosphere and friendliness. Great for vegan/gluten friendly. Very friendly service and great flavored food selection. Also a great drinks menu from wine, beers and bar tendered cocktails.

The food was fantastic and we were likely the most rowdy bunch there. The waitress was amazing and rolled with the punches. We were a large group of 14 and they manage to get most of the meals out at the same time. We had a couple of unique orders that took a bit longer but they ensured everyone was looked after.

The Sherpa Momos platter & Sherpa 8848 Momos with soup were some of the best I’ve had, and The Lamb Choila set was a unique highlight, cooked to perfection with a great blend of spices. The service was outstanding friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.

I’ve been to Sherpa at least five times now and been amazed with each visit. Having spent six weeks in the Nepal Himalayas, I can say with certainty that the food here is the most authentic you can find without trekking for three days from Kathmandu. The dal bhat is exceptional. I can’t recommend it enough. It is flavourful, filling, and brings me right back to the Annapurna circuit. I also recommend the momos, I can’t get enough of them. Finally, I have to say that their cocktails are some of best in the whole city.
