We celebrated a birthday here and left thoroughly impressed. This restaurant captures the soul of Peruvian cuisine, honoring traditional flavors while presenting them with modern finesse.The ambiance strikes a perfect balance: relaxed, warm, and nicely decorated, and good space in between tables inviting for a good conversation.Service was exceptional. For the meal, we had a fried seafood platter, a lomo saltado with meat cooked to order, and a fish ceviche. Each dish was plated was balanced in seasoning. The desserts closed the evening on a high note too.Practical note: street parking is free after 6 PM, which makes evening visits much easier.

Second time visiting Sumaq, but my first time writing a review—and it’s well deserved! I was originally recommended this place by a Peruvian friend who said it’s one of the most authentic spots around. Her family regularly dines here, which says a lot. After visiting twice now, first with friends and then with my husband—I completely understand why.The food is absolutely delightful. I especially love the ceviche Sumaq, so fresh and perfectly balanced. My husband couldn’t get enough of the lomo saltado; he loved it so much! It’s incredibly flavorful and cooked just right. The pollo a la brasa is also delicious—honestly, every dish we’ve tried has been so good including Tallarines de Abuela and Empanadas. And don’t skip dessert—the picarones were the perfect sweet ending. Even the mocktails

I had a fantastic experience at Sumaq, Peruvian Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, every dish we ordered was full of flavor and beautifully prepared.The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to guide us through the menu, taking the time to explain the variety of dishes and offer great recommendations.The atmosphere really sets this place apart. It’s vibrant and full of energy, especially on weekends when they host dance classes, live band performances, and a DJ that keeps the crowd engaged.Overall, Sumaq offers a perfect combination of amazing food, outstanding service, and a lively, unique ambiance. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner here, and were fortunate to attend with a Peruvian friend, who recommended some amazing dishes. We started with fusion sushi rolls and traditional ceviche, and then had our main meals, including a short rib dish on rice, a fried rice with egg, and beef with onions and tomatoes on French fries. The flavours, textures and smells were quite unique, and out of this world! We can't wait to return.

I had dinner here last night with my mum for a late mother’s day celebration and it was amazing! The food is absolutely delicious, I love the design of the place and the service is a 10/10! We had Robinson as our server and he was so nice and explained everything to us, as it was our first time having Peruvian food and it was such a lovely experience!!
