Beautiful! We came during Happy Hour which was 5-7pm.My partner loved it especially the Yuka fries, personally I haven't had any since the last time I visited Panama. But it was very similar to the crunchy taste. Additionally, we had the shrimp taco and pork belly. A bit tiny but it packed a wonderful punch!Lastly, we had the Nacho's with chicken. He wasn't a fan of the sour cream and commented that it was a bit sweet. However, either way it was a large helping definitely enough for 3-4 people to eat. Our server Fernanda was lovely, she even commented on his axolotl tattoo 🤣.We also tried the drinks:Cantario with TamarinMezcal Mule!Definitely, come with an empty stomach and relax. I love how they speak in their native tongue makes it feel like I am in South America in a local restaura

I had a really nice experience at Tropical downtown. The atmosphere was great and very welcoming. Beer prices were around $8, which is reasonable—not cheap, but fair for the vibe and service.The staff and manager were extremely friendly and cooperative, which made the experience even better. One of my friends was celebrating her birthday, and to our surprise, they brought a small cake with candles free of cost—a very thoughtful and kind gesture.Overall, it’s a safe place with good energy, great service, and a fun atmosphere.Highly recommended, especially for celebrations with friends!

I celebrated my birthday at Tropical last night and it was honestly the best experience ever. The food was amazing, the servers were super kind and attentive, and the ambiance was perfect. They even made my birthday extra special, which I really appreciated. I truly can’t complain about anything 🥹💖 I left so happy.It was also my friend’s first time trying this place, and they completely fell in love with it too. Highly recommended and definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant in town!

I went out with my friends to have a fun night, and the experience was great from the moment we arrived. The host was extremely kind and welcoming, greeting us with a smile and explaining everything very clearly, especially that the reservation lasts two hours, which we really appreciated so we could plan our night without any surprises.The waitresses were very attentive, friendly, and quick, always making sure we had everything we needed while we were having dinner. And the bartenders were amazing — the drinks were delicious, well-made, and served with great energy. You can really tell they enjoy what they do. After dinner, the vibe turned perfect for dancing, the music was great, and we truly had such a fun night. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place for dinner, g

Yesterday I went to watch the World Cup game, and even though the restaurant was extremely busy, the service was outstanding. Lately, I’ve visited other restaurants where the service wasn’t the best, but this place was completely different. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the entire experience. The food was amazing as well. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back♥️

The patio is large, clean, and comfortable. We started there and eventually moved inside to hide from the wasps (it's a bad season for those devils). The interior of this place is a sight to behold! The design, layout, and finishes are simply incredible.

they had happy hour going till 7:00, so we ordered appetizers to start they were excellent, went into the menu the nachos were the best I've had anywhere in Calgary both in terms of quality flavor and value. Everything we ate here was superb, service was excellent. We'll be back.

Most people talk about the amazing food, the strong-but-delicious drinks, and the electric atmosphere—and they’re right. The food is full of flavor and truly well done. The drinks are balanced and fun, and everything comes out quickly.

Everything was delightful. Food amazing. Latin party good music and service outstanding. Thanks to Laura she really take care of me every single time I go there.
