Have been thinking about our dinner last night all day today, even looked to book again before the YYC Expo is over. We had the most incredible meal, and the service was top tier, so amazing; we left feeling so taken care of!!Every course of our meal was a throwback from the past 25 years - and they chose the best of the best!! From the amuse-bouche to the dessert (which I got to have!!!) we ooo'ed and aww'd the entire journey through the years.The flavours were inspiring and left us wanting to repeat the entire meal, before we even left! I really enjoyed this experience! Great service, amazing food, totally haunted if you are into that. Love it. I tried the tatare and enjoyed the courser chop compared to usual tatare dishes I've tried. The sirloin was a tender texture for the rare cook I requested, many places would not have that characteristic for that type of cook and I appreciated that. The rabbit was also delicious. Brussel sprouts were not it, maybe I usually eat them sweetened or something but they felt plain to me. Everything else was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Amazing experience! I'm visiting Calgary for the first time and Rouge was my first stop. The food, the service and the atmosphere, everything was perfect.If you have been to the French restaurant in Edmonton (yes that one near the campus,) I can guarantee you Rouge is waaay better, ESPECIALLY the services.

Wowwwww this was such an amazing meal! Went for the chefs menu for a special night out and it was awesome. My bf isn't big on the foodie stuff so he wasn't into the uniqueness quite as much as I was but one dish he just didn't want to eat - I told them he wasn't fond of smoked salmon, and he was so embarrassed - i tried to ensure him that it's ok to say you don't like something (nobody likes to complain, but when you're paying this much you want to enjoy it!), and so they whipped up something else within 10 minutes and after that he perked up completely for the rest of the meal. They had such great attitudes and didn't make us feel awkward for turning away a dish, I even requested 2 different desserts and they made it happen. I was thrilled! Food was subpar on the pro fix menu - environment felt awkward and tables felt like the were missing something and very bare. Service was a bit awkward but the staff did great. Was told it was comparable to range road in edmonton - wouldn’t agree.

One of the things I loved about this place was the fact that they have a garden attached to the restaurant, so the produce that grows there is used in the dishes. They even have a couple of beehives for honey! Try the 6 course menu the chef prepares for you. It’s akin to a blind tasting menu, so you’re not sure what you’re going to get until it is right in front of you and none of the courses disappoint!

Loved the tasting menu We dined on a Wed night and it was fairly quiet which meant we had excellent service from everyone. We decided on the tasting menu and the brilliantly matched wine pairing. Every dish was tasty and matched well with the selected wines. I liked that some dishes I would never have thought of ordering had I done a la carte, but I got to try and liked! A dietary sensitivity (not allergy) was managed with no problem. We both really enjoyed our meal, drinks and the whole evening. Just go. It was delicious. Kudos to the sommelier - she did a wonderful job of matching the wines

We have eaten at different types of restaurants from holes in the wall to high end restaurants in more than 130 countries worldwide, but the tasting menu was the best meal we have ever had. Great food, very good service, not rushed, a very good table. Will have to go back. Highly recommended!!!

If you enjoy good food beautifully presented and paired with the prefect wines then you must come to Rouge and have the Chef’s tasting menu and wine pairing. The service was excellent and at the pace we wanted. Each wine and dish was explained to us. I could not have asked for more. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Very lovely restaurant. Our server was exceptional and gracious. I believe her name was Madison. She was so very knowledgeable about everything and she was also so attentive. The tables were spaced out perfect and very intimate. The dishes came out perfect timing and paired perfectly with our want pairing we choose. 7 courses of deliciousness. Thank you and nice job.

The server was so awesome all the servers and hostess were friendly and helpful, my server even took care of a spider that found its way onto the table without even flinching.
