First time visiting this restaurant. The interior decor offers a very nostalgic vibe. Featuring memorabilia of route 66 the old west and a overhead model train 🚆 😀 👌. The staff were friendly and pleasant. It's a popular place expect to spend at least an hour to dine. After ordering the food arrived 20 minutes later. The food was excellent.Prices are currently the going rate. Coffee is $4 per cup.Breakfast runs between 12-25 per person. It's a truck stop they offer a full liquor service.I definitely would come again.Most of the negative reviews reflect on long waiting periods for food. During our visit the restaurant was full and the wait was reasonably good 👍

Lots of history here. It's been around for many many years.The diner hasn't changed much. It's been ran by the same family for over 60 years.This establishment was the go to place for many truckers and locals at its peak in the 60s 70s and 80s but now it just feels like it's lost its glory.Unfortunately it seems as though it's on a downward trend but their are still lots of the old regulars that come .I found the prices to be too highThe food was decent but , you can tell it's not made with the same love it originally had back in the day .The tables and decor are old , weathered but hold many memories and stories .I just wish the owner would refresh and reinvigorate the place to reflect the love his mother had for the place . I'm sure she would be thrilled and proud to see her legacy liv

Wanted to try this Calgary Piece of Culinary History. It was neat. Great service. Food was filling. We had to try the Flapper Pie. Wife didn't like it. I was like "Whatev....It's part of the experience......" Lois was a lovely waitress. Good experience overall!!

Awesome vintage diner! This place took me back in time. I love how the coffee is served in a variety of different mugs. It was busy but our service was excellent. Coffee top ups constantly and breakfast was great. On my way out I noticed they had sky high flapper pie! I will have to check it out next time.

Stopped in at this iconic Calgary diner on Saturday morning...Was immediately greeted by a friendly server that asked me if I would like coffee to start as she directed me towards an open booth. This place is very spacious and quite unique with the decor in mind. The food is what you would imagine from a Truckstop Diner, just good short order items without the 'frills' at a reasonable price...I don't come down to this area of the city too often. However, if I am downtown early in the morning then I am happy to swing over to the Inglewood region and grab a good solid breakfast.....Bottom Line: 8.8 out of 10

Great food in a very old and interesting location. The staff are friendly, the decor is interesting and the tables are well worn.

I have known this restaurant since it started over by the gas/diesel Station till they built the bigger restaurant behind it to the right on the same lot where it sits today. The lady who owned it did a fantastic job. When someone came in begging for food she gave them a plate and had them sit in the front. They had a jukebox and eventually put feeder boxes to handle people's music requests from their seats. The food was so, so great I would eat it there every chance I got. This restaurant gets a 5-star rating from me.
