Their menu is vast and I want to try all of it! We went here in Chez hoping to satisfy our Vietnamese dish cravings, and it didn’t disappoint. Their Beef Carpaccio is one of the best one in the city! Full of umami flavour, and the chewy, yet tender, texture was just right. We also tried the crab paste pho; lots of flavour in that bowl and the crab taste is really prominent. There was only one guy host on a Thursday lunch, with half the resto full, and he was able to manage all of them. Street Parking can be tricky in this busy street, so plan ahead. Definitely coming back to try their other offerings!

10/10 all around! Friendly staff :) Kelly was more than kind and welcoming! I had the rice dish with pork and it was delicious. My boyfriend got the dry pho with beef and I'm not a noodle girlie, but I loved it more than my dish! Their fish sauce flavoured chicken wings were out of this world! I've never had anything like it before and by far my favourite out of everything we've tried. I've also never had matcha with coconut juice, but after trying it, I'm a huge fan! Their spring rolls are different from what I've had in other vietnamese places, but the flavour profile alone blew me away. Would highly recommend going here!

Chez Nguyen is honestly one of my favorite Vietnamese spots in the city. The food is so good and tastes incredibly authentic, especially if you love Hanoi-style dishes. Every time I come back, there’s always something new to try because they keep releasing new dishes instead of sticking to the same menu, which I really appreciate. The bún đậu mắm tôm is a must. Their mắm tôm (shrimp paste dipping sauce) is seriously amazing , super flavorful and very “Vietnamese.” It reminds me so much of when I used to eat bún đậu mắm tôm after school back home. I can confidently say this is the best shrimp paste (mắm tôm) I’ve had in YYC. So tasty and done perfectly.Also want to give a shoutout to Kayden, our server. He always takes great care of us when we dine in and makes the experience even better. H

Chez Nguyen has easily become my husband and I’s favorite Vietnamese spot in Calgary. We’ve tried quite a few dishes from their menu like pho, seafood fried rice, BBQ pork chop, grilled beef wrapped in betel leaf, spring rolls, and grilled shrimp and every single one has been so good.The flavors are always on point and everything tastes fresh and satisfying. You can really tell they put care into their food. The prices are very reasonable which makes it even better when you want a great meal without overspending.Service is fast and the staff are always friendly and welcoming which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.Definitely a go-to spot for us and one we keep coming back to ❤️

I have been to a couple more Vietnamese restaurants in town and this is my favourite one.Cozy and comfortable place, good music and an incredible friendly staff, takes your dining experience to a higher level.Menu is wide so deciding what to eat is difficult, specially since everything I had tried so far is delicious. So don’t worry, no matter what you decide, you can’t go wrong. And all drinks are spectacular, I had the Pineapple bubble tea and the Matcha Cold Foam on Coconut Juice. Both were so refreshing and not too sweet, which goes perfect with the food.And prices are really good for the type of food you get, so this is a highly recommended place.
