The sushi was fresh and the salmon nigiri was really good, soft and full of flavor. The sushi taco was honestly my favorite though, it was packed with filling and tasted super fresh. Tempura was crispy too and not too heavy. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and the staff were really friendly. Definitely would come back again.

The quality of the food here is incredible! It’s so consistent and flavourful and the sushi is so delicious. The staff is always incredibly friendly and attentive, even when they’re slammed. Dine in and takeout are both excellent quality. And free parking!!

Absolutely hands down one of the best Sushi Restaurants in Calgary. It's very conveniently located on 17th Ave with Free parking. The owner Daniel is an absolute sweetheart, he comes to each table and asks how your food was.

We had such an amazing experience here. Ordered some salmon sashimi, dynamite rolls, spicy salmon roll and crispy spicy salmon roll. Service was great, the food was fresh and they gave a generous amount of ginger and wasabi. After paying we were given some strawberry shortbread sticks for dessert which was a nice surprise.

10/10 First time experience at Wakuwaku Sushi. I had the pleasure of chatting with the owner Daniel during my visit on a few occasions. He took the time to explain his signature sushi taco, which took time and precision to create the crunchy bite of the light tempura seaweed shell / tortilla. I recommend you try the sushi taco in the many forms it can be ordered in as it was really worth it and you could line up 5 and eat them happily.

Amazing sushi place. Our new favorite in town! Great service. Portions are amazing. Very delicious. Vast variety. They have free parking (beside the building, only 1 hr free). We had: Gyoza, Shrimp tempura (THE BEST EVER), Sushi Tacos, Waku Signature, Volcano Roll and Dragon Roll.

Literally the best sushi I've ever had. The picture doesn't do it justice. The pieces are the perfect size. The flavour and quality is amazing. Would definitely order again and is for sure my new go to place for sushi and specifically this role. I've been eating sushi for a very, very long time and this is by far the best roll I've ever had in my entire life. I give it a rating of 15 out of 10.
