I had such a delightful experience at Kondattam Indian Kitchen in downtown Calgary. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, royal, and elegant, making the whole visit feel so special. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the rose cake was honestly heavenly. A special thank you to our server Khushi, who was such a sweetheart and truly made our experience even better with her kindness and attentiveness. The team was also very accommodating and handled an uncomfortable situation near our table with so much care and professionalism, which we really appreciated. They even changed our table and surprised us with dessert on the house. Overall, everything from the service to the food to the atmosphere was wonderful, and I would definitely recommend this place for a lovely Indian dini

I tried the Andhra Vepudu, Vijayawada Chicken Biryani, and Lamb Chops. The Andhra Vepudu and biryani were decent, and the desserts were good. However, I didn’t enjoy the lamb chops because they tasted quite bitter, likely due to too much turmeric.The quantity of food was okay, and the service was also satisfactory. Overall, it’s a restaurant worth trying once!

The food was absolutely amazing — standout dishes included the Motichoor Cheesecake (a must-try!), refreshing Gulab Sharbath, the indulgent Maharaja Platter, and the flavorful Vijayawada Paneer Biryani.Special shoutout to Rahul C, who made our visit even better. He suggested fantastic options tailored to our tastes and thoughtfully cautioned us about portion sizes, which helped us enjoy everything without going overboard. His service was warm, attentive, and top-notch.We’ll definitely be coming back. Loved every bit of the experience!

The ambience at Kondattam is very good a great setting for a meal. However, the overall experience was a bit mixed due to some late service.The Highlights:Vijayawada Mixed Biryani: The standout of the day!! It was perfectly spiced and very flavorful.Spicy Schewan Dosa: Excellent and exactly what you want—crispy with a great spicy kick.Mutton Pepper Ghee Roast: The meat was impressively soft and tender, though it lacked a strong pepper punch and had quite a lot of bones.Areas for Improvement:Stuffed Mirchi Bajji: These were just okay; the stuffing could be more authentic and definitely needs more spice.Pineapple Nannari Sherbet: A bit underwhelming as the nannari flavor was quite faint.A solid spot for the Biryani and the vibe, but I'm hoping for faster service and bolder flavors in the app

First time at this restaurant, and very impressed. Well thought out interior in full Indian style. Excellent service by Gurneet. Amazing dishes including Masala Peanut Papad, Hazarvi Malasi Murgh Tikka, and Reshmi Malai. Nicely presented, generous portions, and great flavours. We had a nice evening.
