Nice atmosphere and really cool decor—the vibe is definitely a highlight. The food, though, was just okay and felt a bit overpriced, especially considering the portions seemed smaller compared to other Vietnamese spots in town. The drinks were a bit disappointing too—$4 for a pop, ice tea higher price(while it’s still pop 🤔🤔) and the matcha coconut (about $9) lacked flavour and so small cup.Service was decent; our server was friendly, but something felt off. We did feel a bit rushed, as plates were cleared while we were still eating 😂.Overall, it’s a great place for the ambiance and worth trying once, but there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to the food and overall experience.

Came here for a our date night and it was great. Super authentic Vietnamese restaurant feel with a focused and delicious menu. Highly recommend. We order the Fish Sauce Wings, Crispy Prawn Cakes, Beef Carpaccio and Salad rolls. Everything was so good!

Came to try this place as a group of four and it was alright. Food was good but portion sizes were small or prices were too high. The bowl of pho is roughly around the size of a small at other places while costing about as much as a large or XL. The appies were also pretty expensive for what you get, though they were pretty tasty. Space is pretty tight inside, with seating really maxing out at four people per table unless they combine some tables. It is also a little chilly if you are sitting near the windows during the winter months. Overall, it was overpriced in our opinions, but food was tasty at least.

I went to Lai Rai during their grand opening month. Nice and cozy spot. I would say this is great for casual cozy first time dates or returning dates! I don't recommend large groups as seats are limited, but if you call ahead they can definitely make it happen!Food taste and quality is on par with all their sister restaurants. I was actually most surprised with their Pho broth which was piping hot and the taste to my liking. Chicken Wings were normal, and their beef carpaccio is in my top 3 fav in the city.I did not find the portion to $ ratio to be that far off as some others complain about. Its difficult enough to run a restaurant, its harder to keep it at a certain level of standard and fresh ingredients where a lot of the ingredients used are coming from outside the province.I also lik
