Made our first visit to Shiki Menya ! and was not disappointed! The lineup out the door was a good sign good food was being served.Large portions and delicious food topped with amazing customer service.As our fist experience here the staff were very accommodating in sharing their knowledge and helping us to make a selection. We chose two different Ramen dishes. Both were exceptional. The fresh in-house noodles made for a pleasant meal.The Authentic Miso had a wonderful flavour and seasoning to the broth. As a seasonal recipe that was soon to rotate off the menu, we were very happy to have sampled it. Perhaps it will come back in the next winter season.The Chili Goma Ramen was excellent! We came at 11:30 am to avoid line up’s. We were seated at the bar and food came shortly after we ordered.The soup was a bit salty, but it was acceptable. I tried the authentic traditional.When we left at around 12:30, there was quite a line outside, so plan to be there early.They have kids options, so I will bring my kid to try next time.

I've never been to a restaurant where they don't do take out and don't tell you! I could handle waiting outside in the cold for a table, and also having to shout a conversation over the loud music, but had I known I couldn't bring back leftovers, I wouldn't have ordered so much! They only told me at the end of the meal when I asked for a to-go container that they don't provide any and I should bring my own containers next time. Not cool.Food wise, the aburi char siu was amazing (flavour bomb that just melts in your mouth). The karaage wasn't crispy though and the ramen soup was on the salty sideDespite how trendy this place looks, I left with a sour experience and won't be coming back.

Amazing atmosphere, amazing service, but food was just not good. We got the chili goma ramen and tonkotsu black.The goma ramen didn’t really have any interesting flavours, and absolutely too salty. Same thing with the tonkotsu black, everything is just so overpowering and way too salty that you just don’t get anything for flavour.Will need to come back to try the traditional bowls and see how those taste.

Shiki Menya offers an extraordinary culinary experience that dances on the palate with layers of flavor in its broths. The vibrant atmosphere complements the delicious dishes, making it a lively gathering spot for friends. Despite the occasional wait and the loud music, the exceptional ramen, particularly the Chili Goma, keeps me coming back for more.

Shiki Menya offers an incredible ramen experience with broths full of layered flavors and fresh ingredients that rival some of the best ramen I've had anywhere. The lively atmosphere and friendly staff create a fun vibe, though the music can be quite loud, making conversation a bit challenging.

I visited Shiki Menya based on a friend's recommendation and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious ramen. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making the dining experience enjoyable. The wait was a bit long, but the flavorful Karo Miso Garlic Ramen made it all worth it.

Fantastic jiro kei style ramen they have on their 2025 winter menu. Big portion size and the flavor of the broth is very good. A bit pricy, but absolutely worth it and they are one of the best ramen shops in the city.
