We had an incredible breakfast at Blue Star Diner. Visited this diner on a weekend after seeing Murdoch Park. The staff is incredible. Food is just the best. We tried many dishes like Eggs benefict, Fried Chicken and Pancakes, Huevos Rancheros and Milkshakes. They were incredible and huge portions for the price.

Food was Delicious, very generous servings, and good price! Calgary has some great breakfast spots and this is a top one I’ve tried so far! The food all tasted amazing and high quality, the place is well decorated and I loved the plates, they really elevated the look of the meal. Coffee was delicious and far above the standard for a diner. Our server and the other staff were all super friendly and helpful. I will be back!! I got the triple double and my wife got the chicken and pancakes.

I got the triple double and loved it. No bookings on weekends but there’s an online waitlist that you can sign up for. Wait time is usually around 30-40 mins but totally worth it. The price of drip coffee is a bit higher than other places though.

Since my wife became celiac she’s been looking for gluten free restaurants, she told me about Blue Star diner before but for a person who can eat gluten free I really didn’t care about eating food that’s not gluten free. I wish we tried this place long time ago, the food is top notch, 90 % of the food is gf the lamb naan which is amazing it’s not gf but the flavours are amazing, the gf free onion rings and the dirty dbl burger are greatThe kids chicken fingers is the best value for anyone,I wish I was a kid or wish they had it on the adult menu. real chicken fingers that are gluten free. The kids love it, they have a basic happy hr with 6$ beer and drinksIt’s a small little place maybe 40Seats so it’s always a great idea to make a reso, I can’t wait to be back for supper or try out breakfa

After having over 30 different eggs Benedict's from various restaurants....Blue Star Diner still has the top eggs Benedict out there. We live out of town and each time we return to Calgary go here.

The price of her meal reflected the smaller portion and that surprised and pleased me food was great, no issues with anything we had and the serving size was almost too much. That is not a complaint Other than the great food, what we will remember most of all is the staff.

This diner is lovely and caters for gluten allergy. There were a lot of choices available including gf bread and corn bread. The home made cherry cinnamon jam was delicious.

Highlight of our Calgary trip. Skip the boring hotel breakfast buffet and head straight to BlueStar for an authentic local experience. Great tales on various high end breakfast options. Great music and service. Funky vibe.
