Ari! I’ve been on the hunt for a sushi spot in Calgary that offers higher-end quality without requiring omakase prices - a fine balance, I know. We made a reservation for a Saturday, which I would recommend as the tables were full and they had to turn a walk-in group away.

It’s quite small, so I’d recommend coming right at opening time or making a reservation in advance. But the food quality is absolutely worth it. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. I also really liked their lunch sets — they include different kinds of sushi and sashimi, so you can try a variety of items at once instead of ordering everything separately.

The sashimi was fresh and cut into perfect sizes, making it easy to enjoy gracefully. Our server was really professional and suggested we start with the Dinner Special in that order. The crispy roll was amazing, 10/10! Crispy on the outside with creamy filling.

Our new favourite sushi spot in Calgary! The sushi and food is super fresh and the service here is excellent. We went for lunch and they had a great selection of lunch specials, food from their menu and individual pieces of sushi and sashimi. Definitely recommend sitting at the bar to experience seeing the talented sushi chefs at work.

Mike and his team run the best sushi restaurant in Calgary IMO. Best balance of incredible quality, awesome service and good value. I have tried 10+ places, but I don’t go anywhere else when I’m in town but Ari anymore.

Ari has been our favorite sushi restaurant since it first opened. We absolutely love the food, the atmosphere, and the exceptional service. We recently took my boyfriend’s daughter there to celebrate her graduation, and it was the perfect choice.

Friendly, helpful staff and delicious fish. Some items are pricey but it's worth it to splurge on good sushi.

Ari Sushi is a fantastic Japanese food spot in Calgary! I ordered two lunch sushi specials and one lunch sashimi special, and everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The fish was high quality, portions were generous, and the lunch specials were great value.
