Aki Urata is the executive chef at KINTON RAMEN. On the company’s About page, he is identified as the chef bringing authentic Japanese flavours to every bowl.His origin story on the site traces back to Kobe, where a major earthquake destroyed his house, school, and the restaurant he worked at. He then started a food truck in the winter, and the experience of seeing how grateful people were led him to realize ramen was a strong business.

The Tasty Palate

The broth is absolutely incredible rich, deep, and layered with flavour. You can tell this place has been perfecting and simmering their broth for years. One thing I noticed this time was their newer beef-flavoured ramen, and it did not disappoint. The jalapeño paste adds the perfect spicy kick that takes the broth to another level.

If you are looking for a spot that actually puts effort into their vegan menu, this is it. They offer 4–5 different vegan ramen options, which is a massive upgrade from the usual single choice you find elsewhere.

Tried the Burnt Shoyu Ramen and the Spicy Garlic Chicken ramen—both were amazing! The burnt shoyu broth had a deep, rich flavor, and the spicy garlic chicken ramen had the perfect kick. Noodles were cooked just right.

Genuinely the best ramen I’ve ever had I still miss it every day that I don’t eat it. If this ramen place was an ex I’d never get over them. The atmosphere is so cozy and the service was so good and the food was so so so yummy. This is the only place where the broth is this flavourful.

Came here on Saturday to take advantage of the 50% off ramen as part of their grand opening. The family is always looking for great ramen places and this place did not disappoint! Parking is a little difficult as their are a lot of shops and so there is limited street and side street (residential) parking available especially at night when parking is free on the street.
