About

Chef Shawn started his career with Oliver & Bonacini in Toronto as Chef de Cuisine at O&B Café Grill, Yonge & Front. He later left to open the first Goose Island Brewhouse in Canada and then Bier Markt on Toronto’s Esplanade. He returned to Oliver & Bonacini as Chef de Cuisine at The Guild, where he focuses on sharing his creative cooking with Calgary.

Excellent Happy Hour with food and drinks available. We recommend the Blood Orange Margarita, Calamari, Pull Apart Bread, Wood Fired Cauliflower, Crispy Chicken Bites, and Sticky Toffee Pudding (not on happy hour). Nice vibes inside, in a historical building.

The menu is packed with incredible options—from perfectly cooked steaks and tender short ribs to creative starters and craft cocktails that set the tone. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout the meal.

Kassy was our server and she was absolutely amazing — super friendly, attentive, and made the whole night even better. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was really nice, especially the open kitchen concept, which we loved.

Went here for my boyfriend’s birthday which lands on November 11. We were there during happy hour & enjoyed some drinks & appetizers from this: 2 glasses of red wine; 1 rose; “The conductor” beer ; Devilled eggs ( so delicious) ; calamari (it was so fresh - even the dip provided). We proceeded to have the 34 OZ 28 day dry aged Tomahawk steak - which we ordered two sides. Lastly we enjoyed the Phyllo- wrapped cheese cake. Our waitress was amazing- she was on top of it - our water never went empty for long if at all.

We had a project wrap-up party with 12 people in attendance. Service/food was great for the number of people. Orders were as expected. Not too loud to easily have various conversations across the table.

Excellent food service and ambience for a business meal. We were originally on the patio, but one of our party was too cold so they immediately found a table inside and the level of service remained high.

Food and service was awesome. Killer steak tartar and Caesar salad. The wood fired pull apart bread was deliscious as well Had creme brulee for desert.
