The keg steakhouse and bar on 4th Avenue in Calgary is a fantastic spot to unwind with great food and drinks, no matter what you’re celebrating or just treating yourself to a business lunch or dinner with a colleague. Our food was excellent, and we enjoyed a few drinks too. The atmosphere was fantastic, the crowd was very friendly and pleasant and the staff were very friendly and polite. We didn’t get the best server, who was more absent than present, but still, it was a great time overall. Definitely worth a visit, and we’ll definitely stop by again. The lobster and steak dish was definitely worth the price.

Great place to celebrate and spend time with your friends/family. Came here for a small birthday dinner and the service was great and food was fantastic. Shared the Keg Steak Platter and two sides with my partner and it was amazing! It satisfied our stomachs with happiness :). In addition to the birthday celebration, we were given a free dessert which was delicious. Would definitely go back to The Keg again.

Been here twice! absolutely absolutely love!The atmosphere in both the bar area and dining area is phenomenal.The bar area is more casual but the service is the same. The dining is more formal.The first picture has table bread and the keg burger which is stellar. The drinks in the first picture is the Cesar drink and the strawberry vanilla margarita! The cesar is akin to a bloody mary which was okay but the margarita was absolutely fantastic, super well made.The second picture features a whiskey sour which was great and a dirty vodka martini which was alright.The third picture has a caesar salad (fantastic), the prime rib sandwich which was so rich and tasty. Very good restaurant. Just because it’s a chain, it doesn’t mean the food is boring. Appetizers and the steaks were excellent, and I love the iceberg wedge.The staff were courteous and very attentive. Shout out to Dustin for being an excellent server. Food came out quickly and overall it was a great experience.

I had a great time getting dinner at the Keg Steakhouse with a colleague on a work trip here in Calgary.Our server helped recommend some wine pairings and also brought out some complimentary sourdough bread before our food arrived. Our food came out relatively quickly (although it was a week night) and tasted great.I had the Keg Classic Prime Rib (10oz) with a Twice Baked Potato and a Wedge Salad. All were fantastic. My steak was cooked perfectly and the potato was flavorful, not dry, and also quite large. The wedge salad was a nice, fresh addition to the meal. The ranch dressing I had with the salad tasted made in house.I felt that the prices were fair relative to what I am used to paying at a steakhouse in the United States. I would definitely recommend giving this location of the Keg St

The ambiance was as to be expected for a steak house of this quality. The wait staff (Dillon) was outstanding providing top notch service. The filet mignon and Billy miner pie is enough to keep us coming back.

We always go The Keg Macleod just because it’s closer to our place. Brought some Houston friends yesterday to the The Keg at the 4th and we are so glad to find that The Keg is consistent when it comes to great food, wonderful place and excellent service…thank you 👍

Visiting Calgary from California for Stampede Week. Very busy week for the restaurant but able to get a reservation. The prime rib and the filet were flavorful and cooked to perfection. Included the seasonal vegetables and had a variety of green beans, beets, brocolli, peppers, mushroom. A side order of the best French fries were a delightful treat. Terrific Caesar salad.

We attended The Keg downtown location to celebrate our Grand-Daughter's engagement. We have been to this location several times and always have had great food and surroundings. Our server was Joseph, who we had once before and again he is outstanding. He is courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and made us all feel like he was one of our family.

The service, drinks and food surpassed our expectations! Complimentary sourdough with whipped butter was a beautiful addition! Our waitress-originally from Bosnia she said, sorry can’t remember her name, made perfect recommendations to assist us select our perfect cut! Overall cost was so reasonable compared to Australia.

We both had the filet mignon and they were amazing; as good as we have had anywhere. I have eaten here many times over the years, and they are consistently excellent. The filets were cooked exactly as we ordered them and the peppercorn sauce went very well with the meat. They have a good wine selection and we enjoyed one from BC.
