Absolutely the best katsu place in the city! I've basically tried all the katsu resto in Calgary, and I can say -- the breading here at Koji is definitely the best. My favourite is the ebi (shrimp) set. Reasonable pricing. Would definitely continue to return.

It's a quaint little family-run business that specializes in katsu and while the service was very friendly and accommodating, the food sadly missed the mark for us.We ordered their chicken katsu curry and teriyaki bowl and both were just wayyy too salty for our liking (the curry in particular). The chicken itself was super fresh and crispy, and the additional cheese katsu I got was also really good.Unfortunately, the overwhelming saltiness made it difficult to fully enjoy the meal, but it might have just been a one off based on other reviews.

Absolutely phenomenal katsu. It is genuinely hard to find a place that respects the process like Koji Katsu does. The panko breading is incredibly light, flaky, and delivers that perfect, satisfying crunch without being greasy. The meat itself was ridiculously tender and packed with flavor. You can tell they care about the ingredients and the technique here. The portions are generous, the service was great, and the whole meal hit the spot perfectly. Easily a 5-star experience, and I will absolutely be coming back."

Koji makes one of the best ebi katsu in town. The prawns were long and fat, juicy and crunchy.

The pork was tender and meaty. The tenderloin was cooked perfectly. I could still taste the natural juices of the meat. The breading on the katsu seemed different from my past visit. The batter was softer but still crispy.

I love nibbling on the side dishes between bites of the katsu. The sourness of the pickles help to cut into the fattiness of the dishes. The miso soup was tasty, loaded with seaweed and strands of enoki mushroom. The large cabbage salad was refreshing.
